Everyday relaxation with our new YOGI TEA® Ashwagandha Balance!

Are you longing for balance and harmony?

It’s not always easy in everyday life, quite the opposite in fact. Finding balance often becomes a challenge. Sometimes any little change to our daily routines can be enough to disrupt our inner harmony. We start to feel agitated, jittery, and stressed.

We've put together a few helpful suggestions to help you find more balance in your lives. Maybe you’ve tried one or two of them already?

Tips for getting your life back into balance

Tip 1: Sweet dreams

Sleep is an important factor when it comes to finding balance. After all, if your nights are not restful, this will have an effect on your daily life – your mood gets darker, stress starts to set in, and your inner balance is destabilised. This is where our tips for a good night’s sleep come into play!

“A good day starts the night before.” This is so true! You can prepare for a great day ahead by establishing a routine for a good night’s sleep the evening before. Look to Ayurveda, the centuries-old science of wellbeing, for plenty of helpful tips. A good night’s sleep can, for example, be achieved by eating a light supper the night before. Find inspiration in warming kitchari, rounded off with fennel and cardamom – good for your body and soul, easy to digest and harmonising. You will be rewarded with improved sleep quality!

Tip 2: Recharge your batteries in the morning

After a restful night’s sleep, the following morning is also an important starting point for a successful day. Establish a morning route to put a big smile on your face and stimulate your circulation as soon as you get out of bed. Perhaps you have already made a Sun Salutation or a morning Meditation session part of your daily routine? As well as putting you in a good mood, this refreshing start to the day will also ignite your energy levels to see you through the day.

Because we know that a good start to the day is really important, we have put together some inspiring ideas for a perfect morning routine. These easy little steps will make a big difference, helping you to achieve balance right from the start of your day. Who knows, maybe you will even find something that will really help you?

Tip 3: Mindful breaks to see you through!

It’s not just the mornings and evenings that are important when it comes to achieving balance and harmony. Little havens of peace throughout the day can always work wonders. Our favourite ritual for a valuable break is of course a cup of YOGI TEA®! And how about a little mindfulness exercise at the same time? Listen to the sound of the boiling water, gently brew your tea and consciously breathe in its wonderful fragrance as it develops. Carefully wrap your hands around the cup and see how the soothing warmth feels. Drink your tea mindfully and in peace.

This will help you realise that it’s the ritual of drinking tea that soothes your nervous system, as well as the positive effects of the contents of the cup itself. Are you ready to start your journey towards relaxation? Discover our latest creation at the same time! YOGI TEA® Ashwagandha Balance is a harmonious blend of exquisite herbs, inviting you to experience a feeling of balance in every cup.

Everything you need to know about Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is a shrub in the nightshade family grown increasingly in South-East Asia. Popular today as a superfood, it has been used for thousands of years in traditional Indian medicine. Also known as the “King of Ayurvedic herbs”, Ashwagandha is one of the most important plants in Ayurveda and is said to have a calming effect.

The name Ashwagandha is a combination of the Sanskrit words “Ashva” meaning horse and “Gandha” meaning smell. The name of this root can also be translated as “smell of horse”. That might sound funny, but the horse stands for vitality and strength in Indian mythology and medicine and its name means that Ashwagandha inspired great trust in its effects. It has been prescribed in India for more than 5,000 years to help with insomnia, amongst other ailments.

Ashwagandha is also known in western culture as an adaptogen. This means that the active ingredients of the plant are supposed to help the body react better to emotional and physical stress.

See the benefits for yourself and try our YOGI TEA® Ashwagandha Balance with acerola cherry and passion flower. As well as the stress-regulating qualities of Ashwagandha, the passion flower also brings calm and helps relieve tension. The vitamin C in the acerola cherry makes this blend a trusty companion for people with frayed nerves.

Yoga for more harmony

Yoga is also a proven remedy for stress relief. So take a little time to look at the back of the packet of our YOGI TEA® Ashwagandha Balance. Here you will find the yoga pose Sitalii Pranayam. This pose will help you to achieve inner calm.

Ideally, sit cross-legged on the floor and let your hands rest loosely on your knees. Make sure your upper body is straight. Now focus on your breathing. Roll your tongue into a U shape and breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose. Repeat this exercise for 26 breaths. If you wish, you can also close your eyes during this time.

Once you have finished the exercise, you will feel the sense of calm that this breathing exercise brings. As you drink a cup of YOGI TEA®, visualise the relaxed feeling of your body and soul, and benefit from the newfound order of your thoughts to plan your next steps.
