Christmas Tea to nibble on

A typical Advent Sunday: The fragrance of warm tea envelops the festively decorated home and Christmas music is heard throughout the rooms. This is the perfect moment for making Christmas biscuits with the children or friends.

Today we would like to recommend a very easy recipe for Ayurvedic biscuits on the basis of our YOGI TEA® Christmas Tea.

For the dough:
300 g flour (fine)
A little flour for rolling
50 g icing sugar
1 pinch of salt
The contents of 5 to 6 tea bags of Christmas Tea (sieved)
200 g butter

For the decoration:
100 g granulated sugar


Knead the butter well with the icing sugar, the sieved tea and the pinch of salt. Add the flour and knead into a smooth dough. Then wrap the dough in cling film and leave it to rest for at least half an hour in the fridge.

After the rest time, take the dough out of the fridge and roll out portions so that they are 4 mm thick. Biscuits can then be cut out of it using biscuit cutters. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 160°C.

Put the biscuit shapes on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake them at 160°C until golden brown (6 to 8 minutes). Swirl the biscuits around in granulated sugar while they are still hot. After decorating the biscuits, leave them to cool.

And when they’re ready: Enjoy eating the biscuits or pack them in a pretty Christmas bag and give them as a present!
