A lovely vegan breakfast idea for a delightful Sunday morning.Aloe Vera Waffel

 

Ingredients

For 8 Aloe Vera waffles:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g powder sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 bags of YOGI TEA® White Tea with Aloe Vera (contents)
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder
  • 100 ml coconut milk
  • 100 ml coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the coconut whipped cream:

  • 1 can coconut cream, full-fat version (chilled!)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons powder sugar
  • fresh fruits for the topping

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.
  2. For the waffles: In a bowl sift together flour, powder sugar, baking soda, salt, contents of YOGI TEA® White Tea with Aloe Vera, and turmeric.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined and dewy batter forms. You can make the dough softer by adding more milk (when you find it a little too firm).
  4. Ladle the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  5. For the coconut whipped cream: You may make the whipped cream in advance (or while your waffles cook). First mix the creamy top part of the coconut milk in a medium-size mixing bowl. Don’t use the coconut water at the bottom.
  6. When soft peaks form, mix in the vanilla extract and powder sugar.
  7. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
